Our target

We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. The site is built with semantic HTML, predictable focus order, and keyboard support for every interactive element.

What we've done

• Semantic landmarks (header, main, nav, footer) on every page so screen readers can skip between regions.
• Visible focus indicators on every focusable control.
• Color contrast that meets AA in both light and dark themes; theme choice persists per visitor.
• Reduced-motion preferences are respected — decorative animations are paused when `prefers-reduced-motion` is set.
• Alt text on instructional images. Decorative images are marked as such so screen readers skip them.
• Video lessons include captions in the player; transcripts are available on request while we backfill them everywhere.
• Forms use real labels and inline error messaging tied to the input via `aria-describedby`.

Known limitations

• A small number of older video lessons do not yet have captions. We're captioning them in batches; if you need a specific lesson captioned today, email us and we'll prioritize it.
• PDF practice worksheets are tagged for screen readers but a few older PDFs predate that work. Email us for an accessible version.

Browsers and assistive tech we test with

We test against current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge on desktop, and Safari and Chrome on iOS and Android. Screen-reader smoke testing covers VoiceOver (macOS, iOS), NVDA, and TalkBack.

Found something that doesn't work for you? Please tell us. Email support@twigera.com with the URL, what you tried to do, and what assistive technology you were using. We aim to acknowledge within one business day and to fix or work around the issue quickly.
