Who we are

Twigera, Inc. operates online GED preparation classes through this marketing site and the customer application at app.twigera.com. We are based in the United States.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account information. When you sign up on app.twigera.com you provide your name, email address, and a password.
• Payment information. Plan purchases are processed by our payment provider; we receive a confirmation and the last four digits of the card, never the full card number.
• Study activity. Lessons watched, practice questions answered, and scores — used to power your dashboard and adapt practice difficulty.
• Support communications. Emails you send to support@twigera.com are retained so we can follow up.

Information collected automatically

• Usage and device data. Pages visited, referring URL, browser type, device type, approximate location (city level from IP), and timestamps. Used to understand which content is helpful and to diagnose issues.
• Cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy for the full list and how to opt out.

How we use information

• To deliver the service and personalize your study plan.
• To process payments and provide receipts.
• To send transactional emails (account, billing, support replies).
• To send product and educational emails — only if you opted in, with an unsubscribe link in every message.
• To improve content, fix bugs, and prevent abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers required to operate Twigera:

• Hosting. Vercel Inc. (this marketing site) and our application hosting provider for app.twigera.com.
• Analytics. Google Analytics 4 (and Google Tag Manager) to understand aggregate site usage.
• Email. Our transactional email provider for delivering receipts and account messages.
• Payments. Our card processor (PCI-DSS compliant).
• Content management. Statamic CMS for marketing content (does not store student data).

We may also disclose information when required by law (subpoena, court order) or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Twigera, our users, or others.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your account and associated data (subject to retention requirements for tax/legal records).
• Export your study data in a portable format.
• Opt out of marketing emails at any time.

California residents

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what categories of personal information we collect and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as defined under California law. To submit a request, email support@twigera.com.

Children

Twigera is intended for users aged 16 and older (the minimum age to take the GED in most US states). We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including TLS encryption in transit and encrypted storage at rest. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

Retention

We retain account and study data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward. Billing records are retained as required by tax law (typically seven years).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or a notice on this page. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
