Connecticut requires GED test takers to be at least 19 to test on their own. A 17- or 18-year-old may test after officially withdrawing from a Connecticut school for at least six months, or by filing an official withdrawal form signed by a parent or guardian and attested by a school administrator; homeschoolers provide home-school documentation.
Applicants cannot already hold a U.S. high school diploma and cannot be currently enrolled in a Connecticut high school at the time of testing.
You must be a Connecticut resident to be awarded the Connecticut State High School Diploma, and you prove it at the test center with a valid Connecticut driver's license or other proof of residency.
