At 18 you can test in person or online with no extra steps. In person, 16- and 17-year-olds can test with parental consent, a GED Ready score of 145+, superintendent approval, and documentation filed with the Bureau of Adult Education. Online testing requires you to be 18.
You cannot already hold a U.S. high-school diploma. Adults must not be currently enrolled in high school, but approved 16- and 17-year-olds in New Hampshire may remain enrolled while earning the equivalency credential.
