Oklahoma requires GED test takers to be at least 18. Applicants who are 16 or 17 can sit the in-person test if they submit a signed release form with parental consent and approval from a school administrator. Online proctored testing is 18+ only — there is no under-18 path online.
Applicants cannot already hold a U.S. high-school diploma and cannot be currently enrolled in an Oklahoma high school at the time of testing.
Oklahoma does not require state residency to test. Out-of-state testers are welcome at Oklahoma testing centers and will receive a high-school equivalency credential issued by Oklahoma.
