Yes. Pennsylvania offers all four GED subjects in English and Spanish, both at test centers and through online proctoring, and you may combine languages across subjects to earn the credential. Take mathematical reasoning in Spanish and language arts in English if that is how you read and think — the Commonwealth counts them together. You choose the language for each subject at registration on ged.com, and you can change it between subjects. Twigera's own lessons are taught in English. Standard testing age is 18, and Pennsylvania requires proof of state residency at the center. A 16- or 17-year-old can test only with an approved age waiver from the Pennsylvania Department of Education, which requires a completed Age Waiver Form plus a written request from an employer, a college admissions office, a military recruiter, or the director of a state institution. The Pennsylvania Department of Education issues the Commonwealth Secondary School Diploma, usually shortened to CSSD, once you pass all four subjects at 145 or higher out of 200. You do not need to pass them on the same day or in any particular order — each subject stands on its own, and your scores are held until the set is complete. Employers, colleges, apprenticeship sponsors, and workforce training providers across Pennsylvania treat the CSSD exactly as they treat a traditional high school diploma. Nothing on the credential indicates you earned it by examination rather than by attendance.

Community College of Philadelphia, Temple University, Drexel University, and La Salle University all accept the Commonwealth Secondary School Diploma for admission, as do Pennsylvania public institutions generally. Community College of Philadelphia is the usual first stop because it is open-admission and the cheapest route in the city, and its credits transfer into four-year programs at Temple and Drexel through established articulation agreements. Admissions offices evaluate CSSD holders on the same basis as high school graduates. If a program has additional prerequisites, such as a placement test or specific coursework, those apply to everyone regardless of how they finished secondary school.
