Orange Technical College tests the GED at two campuses — South on West Oak Ridge Road in Orlando, and West on East Story Road in Winter Garden. You register and pay at ged.com, not at the campus.
Florida charges $38 per subject — $152 for all four. If you fail a subject, the discounted retake at a test center is $12.
Florida does not offer the online proctored option that most states do. Every subject is sat at a testing center, so factor one trip to Oak Ridge Road or Winter Garden into your plan.

Dozens of other Orange County addresses run GED classes rather than the exam itself, and a few listings you may find online are state prison or county jail programs that are not open to the public. You register and pay at ged.com, then choose your campus and time slot there.
No. Florida is one of a handful of states that does not offer the online proctored option, so every subject is sat in person at a testing center. Plan one trip to Orange Tech South on Oak Ridge Road or West in Winter Garden. The upside is that there is no GED Ready prerequisite to clear first, which online testers in other states do have to pass before they can book.

You do need a valid government-issued photo ID and a Florida address on your ged.com account when you register, so if you have just moved here, get the address updated before you book rather than at the door. Expired IDs are not accepted at any Florida testing center.
Yes. Florida lets you test in English or Spanish, and lets you combine languages across the four subjects — math in Spanish and language arts in English is allowed if that is how you think. Valencia College, the University of Central Florida, Orange Technical College, and Seminole State all treat the State of Florida High School Diploma as equivalent to a high school diploma for admission. Valencia is the usual first stop, and its DirectConnect agreement guarantees admission to UCF once you finish an Associate in Arts or an articulated Associate in Science. Admission to a specific limited-access major is not guaranteed, but the seat at UCF is.
Yes, and Orange County Public Schools runs one of the widest networks in the state — free adult general education at Orange Tech's Orlando, South and Avalon campuses plus high schools and elementary schools from Pine Hills to Lake Nona. Valencia College's West Campus runs a YouthBuild program, and Covenant House and the Central Florida Urban League offer preparation too. The classes are free; the exam still costs $152.
